These gorgeous oak floors were atleast 70 years old, milled from nearby Pisgah National Forest. The new story of these floors started as they arrived on the back of a dump truck and were laid out in the drive like a giant game of pick up sticks. From the color patterns, it looked as tho' we had floors from atleast 3 different homes. Some flooring had been painted over & others stained. Even with the years of various coatings & wear, you could see the warmth & character ready to emerge to the surface, yet again. With great patience & persistence or stubborness (choose your word), these old floors were revived to show their grand luster for years to come. You just can't fake genuine character.
